Our Value for this half term is Respect. "Do to others what you would have them do to you" Matthew 7:12

Mental Health and Wellbeing

"Mental health is not a destination but a process. It's about how you drive not where you are going"

At Gunness and Burringham we recognise the importance of mental health. We appreciate that everybody has mental health, sometimes this is positive and this can sometimes be negative. Whatever the feeling, we are here to support children and our families.

We offer a high level of understanding and empathy and staff work closely with children and their families to support wherever needed. Children are actively encouraged and supported in school to build resilience and have a "can do" attitude, this is built into the curriculum and is promoted in all that we do. Staff have regular training to ensure that they are fully equipped to advise and support, this is particularly crucial given the current climate that we are living in.

Mrs Burrows is our trained Wellbeing Lead, she has completed a Level 2 qualification in Understanding Children and Young People's Mental Health and a Mental Health Champion Course. Mrs Burrows is well equipped to support our children and their families.

Should anybody need support, please contact Mrs Burrows our Mental Health Champion or the school where we will work with you to support and advice.

We support Children's Mental Health Week every year...
