Promoting Fundamental British Values.
AT Gunness and Burrringham we actively promote British values in schools to ensure our children leave school prepared for life in modern Britain. Children are encouraged to regard people of all faiths, races and cultures with respect and tolerance and understand that while different people may hold different views about what is "right" and "wrong", all people living in England are subject to its law.
These values align very closely to out Christian Vision and Values and are taught explicitly through PSHE education, Religious Education, The 'Big Question', Picture News and Collective Worship. We also teach British Values through planning and delivering a broad and balanced curriculum. Evidence of this can be seen whilst in the school; the knowledge, awareness and wisdom of our children is wonderful to see.
