Starting School Arrangements

" I am delighted that you have chosen Gunness and Burringham Church of England Primary School to be the school that welcomes your child for the next seven years of their primary education. Although transition may look a little different this year, I can assure you that your child will have the best possible start to education and arrangements will be made to ensure that their transition is smooth and positive, ready for them to start with us full time in September"

Luan Sowerby

Headteacher

We are busy making arrangements for the transition process and will contact parents with details as soon as we have confirmed information. You are more than welcome to contact the school to arrange a visit, where Mrs Stone, the Foundation Stage Teacher, will happily show you and your child around our school.

Feeder Settings

Arrangements have been made for Mrs Stone to visit the on site pre school at regular sessions from now until July to ensure that a two way relationship can be built between your child and school. It also ensures that developmental information is transferred to allow an accurate staring point for play and education ion September.

Mrs Stone will be in contact with any other settings shortly to arrange a visit to allow the same positive transition process to be in place.

Free School Meals

All children within Foundation Stage, Year One and Year Two are eligible for free school meals and are invited to try these from September.  Children may also be eligible for something called Pupil Premium. This is income related and needs to be applied for. If successful, the school receives money into their budget to further support the education of the children and  ensure positive outcomes.

Please complete the form below or speak to Mrs Nightingale in the office who will be happy to complete this alongside you - just have your National Insurance number handy!
