Learning together

We hope you find the information available on our website interesting and informative; our aim is to try and capture what it is like to be a part of our exceptional Church of England Primary School.

Our aim is to ensure that each and every child fulfils their potential and is ready for the next stage in their education. We, as professionals have high expectations of ourselves and the children we teach.

Our Church School values are the foundations to our school and underpin our curriculum. The values we are learning about this year are: forgiveness, kindness, generosity and compassion. We teach the children values for life and make links to bible stories and SEAL themes, to enable our children to make choices and decisions, both in and out of school. Our most recent Church inspection in July 2017 judged our school to be ‘outstanding’ and a copy of the report can be found on our website.

Our curriculum is rich and inspiring; we offer a broad range of experiences and opportunities. The core subjects of Maths, English, Science and P.E. are taught discreetly, whilst the foundation subjects are taught through a topic based approach. In order to engage and enthuse our pupils, tangible links are made across all areas of the curriculum. Pupil wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do.

It is an absolute privilege to serve as your headteacher and by working together we ensure that Gunness and Burringham Primary is a happy school that we are all proud to be part of.
